Shasta was adopted in 1999 and I really fooled my hooman, I was playful and jumping and gave lots of kisses, she thought she was going to have a hiking buddy. But when she got me home and I plopped down on this couch and that was it, an instant love for leather couches.
I did travel with my hooman and took care of her, no one messes with my Lil (I call her Lil). We did lots of field work with her job being a geologist and I lived a very happy 14 years before passing away in 2015. My hooman started Shasta's Dog House Pet Care Services in 2001 when she had to go away for a trip and took me to a kennel. They didn't take very good care of me and my little brother and my hooman was very angry.
She promised only the best for me and looked into options for care and found pet sitting. We chatted and I encouraged her to start the business. We operated in Denver, CO until 2006 doing pet sitting and doggie day care and I met so many friends.
