Covalent Pet Care
My name is Ashley, and I have been working in the pet care industry since 2005. I have managed boarding facilities in both Arizona and Colorado and it's my passion to make sure pets have great experiences when their owners are away. I live in Loveland with my partner Dayne, his two awesome boys, my seven year old son and two Australian Shepherds. Everyone here loves dogs!

I chose Covalent for my business and kennel name because of the chemical bond characterized by the sharing of electrons. My dogs and I share so much in everything we do, and I feel that it is such an integral part of owning and loving pets. I utilize Gentle Handling Methods taught by Certified Behavior Consultant Ashley Foster in order to minimize stress on pets in my care.

This means I will use the least invasive handling methods to make sure your pet's needs are being met. Some pets require a more hands off approach, and I'm able to offer that while still monitoring their well-being and working to build a trusting relationship.
Services
We appreciate your understanding as we block off time for family, friends and recuperation.
Due to current scheduling demands, we are only able to offer this service in Loveland and south Fort Collins between 10am and 2pm.
We offer mid-day dog walking or play sessions to give your dog a chance to stretch their legs while you're away.
Standard rate includes one or two well-mannered dogs.
Additional dogs or those that require separate walks may be an additional charge.
Available between 10am and 2pm.

Standard rates apply within Loveland and south Fort Collins.
I am able to provide service to other areas, but a mileage fee will apply.
Cats Welcome!
Cats tend to have their own specific needs when left alone, and I use a quiet and calm approach with new cats to observe their personalities and gain their trust.
Keeping a close eye on appetite, potty habits and body condition helps me to make sure they're safe and comfortable at home while their humans are away.

Boarding is in our home (not kennel runs!) and all the dogs are treated like part of our family.
They play outside in our spacious yard, snooze on the couch and get meals and medications on their normal schedule.
We strive to make everyone feel comfortable and welcome, so that we truly are their home away from home.
While I do leave the house occasionally for petsitting visits and errands, those are staggered so dogs are never left alone for extended periods of time.
I was bit by the Aussie bug after bringing Micah home and I've learned so much from each of my dogs and the litters that we bred.
I enjoy my Aussies first and foremost as pets, but have also dabbled in agility, obedience and conformation.
I look forward to including stock work in our list of activities!
I'm always happy to answer health, temperament or pedigree questions about any of my dogs.
Talking Aussie is one of my favorite pastimes!
Micah was my first Aussie and came to me from Zack Karr of Crystalwood Aussies in Chicago, IL.
We dabbled in obedience and agility, but she was never happier than when we are playing ball or adventuring in the great outdoors.
After over 9 years of remission she went to the Bridge at 15 years old.
We miss her so much!
