I'm Edie Berendsen, sole proprietor of Pet Sitter Carmel Valley/San Diego.
Since moving to San Diego 9 years ago, I started looking after pets (cats, dogs, birds, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish) for friends and friends of friends to fulfill my love for animals (even snakes!) and that slowly grew out to a small business.
4 Years ago, I came in contact with Cheryl Arthur, the founder of Pet Sitter San Diego (since 2009) and since that time I worked together with and for her.
When Cheryl decided to retire in 2021, I wanted to continue the quality of care that Pet Sitter Carmel Valley provides to the existing and new clients.
Since moving to San Diego 9 years ago, I started looking after pets (cats, dogs, birds, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish) for friends and friends of friends to fulfill my love for animals (even snakes!) and that slowly grew out to a small business.

We will meet with you and your pets and gather information regarding specific needs, contact numbers, routines, feeding schedule and home care.
We will collect a key, review the service agreement and answer any questions you may have.
For your home's upkeep and security we bring in mail/newspapers, water container plants, rotate blinds/drapery, take trash to curb, turn on/off lights, etc., as per your instructions.

Cheryl has been watching our dogs for two years now and we don't know what we would do without her.
She is caring, professional and trustworthy, which makes traveling much more enjoyable since we know our dogs are well taken care of while we're gone.
Cheryl Arthur has taken great care of our dog, Callie, for several years whenever we are out of town.
Cheryl volunteered to walk the dog as often as she could at no charge and eventually took the animal into her home to live permanently.
