I am Cheryl Aversano and I've lived in beautiful Charleston since 2015 with my husband and 3 boys. Charleston Green Dog Boarding started for the love of my baby, Charleston Green (Charlie). Charlie, our Black Labradoodle, is a rescue dog who came to us broken and sad, but we nursed him back to a happy and healthy dog. We had to board him in a kennel one time while we were on a family trip.
When we came back home he was an anxious and needy wreck. It was as if he believed he was back at the shelter and thought that we were never coming back. I swore I'd never board him in a kennel again. Now, we take him with us as much as possible, and if we can't, we have a trusted friend watch him. He always knows someone loves him. Winston is a Golden Doodle that we had watched for a friend.
To say that he and Charlie became best friends instantly is an understatement. They simply adore each other and hate to be apart. When Winston's owner came to bring him home, she had to carry him into her car since he didn't want to leave our home.
