With Uncle Dave, your dog enjoys a fun, fully interactive 60-minute East Bay trail hike each outing. On- or off-leash, your pooch gets exercise and adventure while learning social manners on the trail. Company founder David Llewellyn has worked for one of the leading pet care companies in the East Bay for the past three-and-a-half years. He has a business license and is fully insured by The Hartford Insurance.

He attended dogTec Academy in San Francisco and has taken his canine clients on more than 1,800 hikes per year throughout the East Bay area. Dave began walking my big pup (part great dane) in 2015 after I was sidelined with a back injury - but the fantastic changes in my boy after working with Dave made it clear that I needed to keep it up - he has been walking my big boy three times a week (and my new rescue occasionally) since then and Shiloh is absolutely flourishing with his "dave pack" hikes in every way possible. THe only downside is that I think he now loves Dave more than me (just kidding!) Dave has a great sense of which dogs will do best with others and tailors his group hike "composition" for the maximum enjoyment of all of them. I cannot say enough nice things about his skill with the dogs and the clear love and care he has for each and every one.

I can't recommend Dave highly enough to walk your dog. I worked with him for many years managing a pet business he worked for, and I spoke with him so many times of how he loves and cares for all his pups. And to see the way all the dogs greet him when they see him... even if he hadn't walked them in a few weeks. They light up. If I lived in Dave's area, I would have him walk my dog but alas I'm on the other side of the tunnel.
You'll never have a more loving, knowledgeable and fun walker for you dog. He's the best.

If you are looking for someone who will care for your dog(s) as much as you do, Dave's your guy. My 13 year old pup, Mariposa, fell instantly for Dave - and that's saying something given that she dislikes most people in general. Seeing her wiggle with excitement when Dave comes to pick her up is pure joy.
As Mariposa ages Dave has been by her side. From her crazy energy days to her more recent slow and steady pace, I know I can count on Dave to make every outing a great one.
I wish I could give him more stars for the service he provides ... peace of mind that my family is in good hands.

Dave has a true gift with animals - my two shy and sometimes cranky dogs absolutely love him. They come back from their walks happy and relaxed and ready for a good snooze. Dave will send pictures and notes from the trail so you can see for yourself how your dogs relate to the others in his walking packs. He also thoughtfully leaves a written note at the end of each walk to let you know of any issues and will send a message or call if a dog appears to be sick or depressed. Can't rate him highly enough, he's a lovely man.
