After three years in general small animal practice and two years as the senior clinician and manager of an emergency clinic in a western Chicago suburb (also establishing exotics at both), she completed a zoo internship in Birmingham, Alabama.
She then went on to a position as the staff veterinarian of the Lee Richardson Zoo in southwest Kansas, where she started her family. She has been in the Salt Lake Valley since early 2001, was associate veterinarian at the Hogle Zoo for four years, and has provided veterinary relief coverage for the Tracy Aviary.

Services
We are now accepting new clients again, on a limited availability basis.
We may be booked out a few weeks/months because of this.
With our current staffing we are unable to meet the demand and in discussion with several other practice owners, have discovered that this is the case with many other hospitals.
We have compiled a list of practices that may be able to see your pet.
Spay and Neuter Surgery Our quoted fees for this may be higher than others.
This is because pain medication is always required, it is not an option that we will try to sell to you later.

Due to a recent influx of improper carriers, and stories from other clinics' experiences of patients escaping inside the clinic, we have put together a guide on what an appropriate carrier is.
If your carrier is something that your pet can chew, crawl, or fly their way out of, IT IS NOT SECURE, and a secure carrier WILL be provided at an additional rental fee.
This is for the safety of your animal first and foremost, but also for the safety of our staff.
Please help us care for your animal by making sure they are safe and secure.
