Since 2015, Sophia Coleman-Makela and her husband Josh have been offering daily Mon-Fri walks and in-home pet-sittings in Northwest DC and Arlington. What started as a side gig to help family friends soon became our passion, and in 2018 Sophia turned it into a full-time enterprise. Josh joined her full-time in 2020, and we couldn't be happier spending every day with our furry friends.
I trust Sophia completely with my dogs (who ADORE her). If she's running off schedule, even by 10 minutes, she texts to let me know so I can manage expectations. Every walk she takes my dog on is at least 30 minutes- never shorter. Ever! I trust her in my home and consider her to be the consummate professional but also just a genuinely good person.

I've grown up with dogs since before I could crawl.
There were always at least two-if not three-in my home thanks to my mom's love of dogs.
In fact, long before dog-walking services were commonplace, my mom started her own pet care business in NW Indiana, where I grew up.
I watched as she became a much-valued member of the community as people worked longer hours and needed help with their furry friends.
And nearly 20 years later, she's still out there walking!
Needless to say, when I moved to D.C. in 2015, she was an inspiration.

We offer daily and single walks, overnight sittings, and a variety of custom care options, including administering medications and more.
We take your dog on a half-hour leashed walk around the neighborhood or trails.
If your dog loves other dogs, we will happily take them out with their buddies who live nearby, if their time-frames are similar.
If you've got a dog with energy to burn, we also offer extra-long walks for a small additional fee.
Our maximum walk length, your dog will cover several miles with us! $41 for 2-year-old and under puppies.
