Growing up, a variety of rescued dogs and cats were part of our family, and when they haven't been part of my family, I found ways for them to be in my life, such as with the 2 boys at the top of the page, Perseus and Loki, who I have been fostering long term and we feel like family.
Renting in a saturated housing market, I was unable to commit to adopting a rescue dog so did the next best thing, volunteering with the Animal Rescue League walking dogs to offer love, companionship & leash training while in the fresh air getting our endorphins flowing as they awaited their forever home.
With Grey2K I was a state volunteer coordinator & worked 4 years with the grassroots Committee to Protect Dogs campaign to successfully qualify the Greyhound Protection Act on the 2008 ballot, which voters passed to end Greyhound Racing by 2010.Through Red Rover I was trained in the protocol for assisting animals in response to disasters, and, in 2008, worked for a week with other volunteers in Montreal to care for more than 100 dogs rescued by the Humane Society and the SPCA of Montreal after a puppy mill raid.

Includes wet and dry food, changing water bowl(s), cleaning of litter box(es) and adjacent area(s), litter supplementation, TLC, play-time with favorite toys, brushing and any other personalized care needs within reason.
Includes changing bedding, feeding, topping/changing water, TLC, treats and any other personalized care needs within reason.
