Howls & Meows Pet Sitting was established in 1994 by Betsy Dejewski. She served the main line and surrounding areas. Upon deciding to retire in 2014, Betsy set out to find someone she trusted to take over her business. She knew the perfect person to take over her beloved business was current owner/operator Colleen Berkery. Colleen worked alongside Betsy for quite some time learning all the services Betsy offered and getting to know all her clients.

Since taking over, Colleen has maintained all Betsy's previous clients (some that have been with the business for 20 years) as well as growing the business each year with new clients.
Services
Sometimes your pet needs a bit more than just a quick potty break.
Mid-day visits are 15 minute visits to administer medication, take your dog for a short walk, give them lunch or let them out with some quick play time.
If you're going away and do not want to leave your furry friend caged up in a kennel, we have a great solution!
Dogs stay in the comfort of my home and will never be alone for more than four hours at a time and will never be left in a cage for hours at a time.
This service is a 24 hour service and your furry friend is never alone for more than four hours at a time.
Having had pets her whole life, Colleen always knew she would end up working with animals.
She started working first hand with animals as a camp counselor at her father's horse farm.
From there she worked as a vet tech at one of Pennsylvania's top veterinary hospitals.
After working under one of the best doctors and absorbing so much knowledge, Colleen couldn't help being sad for all the animals.
She finally made the decision that working with sick animals was a very emotionally taxing job --- a job that she could not do forever.
I am a long time Mainline resident and I've known Colleen for close to 5 years and have seen her handle dogs of various breeds and dispositions with expertise.
She has taken care of my two pit bull type dogs (along with my cat) a number of times, and these are not easy dogs.
I have hired her both for daily walks/potty breaks, as well as house-sitting combined with pet care.
I have always returned to a better house than I left; she provides excellent value for her services.
Colleen has been walking my greyhound Barnabas for over 6 months now and she has been nothing short of fabulous.
Your pet will be comfortable and relaxed at our in home facility!
With all the creature comforts of their own home, there is no need for you to worry while you can't be with your pet.
Any dogs that have attended a boarding facility or doggie day care within two weeks of their reservation will not be able to attend at our facility.
Please feel free to call with any questions or concerns.
