Shelley has made grooming pets her life for over 17 years. Through her continuing education she now focuses on clients with special needs, such as senior dogs and cats, and pets with physical limitations or behavioral challenges. Shelley has 2 adopted dogs and 2 adopted cats of her own along with a very special adopted Ball Python. After many years leading other successful grooming salons, she's taken the next step to salon owner.

Call to book your next groom with Shelley at 315-401-8538. Kelly's 7 years of grooming experience span Eastern New York, South Florida and now we're lucky to have her here in Central New York. In the past she managed a dog daycare boarding and grooming facility before settling in at Shear Love. Kelly is the proud caretaker of a one year old adopted cat named Truffles who has, due to a chronic health condition, no teeth!

Amanda has been grooming in the local Central New York area for 8 years. Her knowledge and experience give her the ability to work with many different animals such as dogs, cats, guinea pigs and ferrets, loving each one as she does her fur family at home!
Services
We are blessed with 4 professionally trained cat groomers who are very knowledgable in the delicate art of handling cats.
Because they have a completely different physiology than dogs, we use products and techniques designed to ensure the safety, health and individual best results for each of our unique kitty friends.
To further cater to our feline friends, we have a special room at the salon just for them that is quieter and reduces interaction with the other pets that may be visiting us at the time.
A mat is a tangled mass of hair on a dog or cat.
It usually forms from a lack of regular brushing and/or combing, or bathing a pet too often for their type of coat without brushing immediatly after.
Some mats get very tight, this is very uncomfortable to the pet and can sometimes cause additional skin related complications.
If this occurs the only safe and humane way of correcting the problem is to have a professional shave out the mats.
In very matted situations, sometimes called pelted coats, a full shavedown of the pet is the only humane option.
