The Barking Butler is a Jersey Shore based, locally owned and operated, professional dog walking, pet sitting, and pet taxi service. Our services are available to pet owners in Wall Township, Asbury Park, Ocean Grove, Neptune, Neptune City, Bradley Beach, Avon-by-the-Sea, Belmar, Spring Lake, Spring Lake Heights, Sea Girt, Brielle, and Manasquan. As pet owners, we understand that being apart from your pet creates anxiety and stress for both the owner and animal.
Our mission is to reduce that burden and provide our 2-legged and 4-legged clients with the peace of mind that they will be remain safe, happy, and healthy under our care. We also realize that each pet is unique and we are happy to create customized and flexible care plans to ensure their personal needs are always met.

Dave is a founding member of The Barking Butler and lifelong resident of the Jersey Shore.
After attending Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY Dave began a career in international sales.
Through his experience with traveling overseas and having a spouse with her own career, Dave quickly realized the importance of having a professional and reliable option for pet care.
His French Bulldog Elsie (the star of our logo and home page!), was not only a pet, but a family member.
Her comfort and safety were paramount.

The Barking Butler requires an initial client consultation for all services (irrespective of type)!
At the consultation, the staff member will come directly to your home, so you can introduce them to your pet and point out the location of any required items i.e.
The Barking Butler will make every effort to accommodate specific time requests; however, due to the unpredictable nature of dealing with animals, we like to schedule our clients in "time windows".
We will ensure that we visit within the (2) hour time frame requested, but cannot guarantee a time, to the minute, in the case that a preceding client visit requires more time.

The Barking Butler VIP Packages can be used for petsitting or dog walking.
These packages are great options for daily walkers or frequent visits!
VIP Packages give you preferred time slots.
We will also make a conscious effort to try to keep the assigned sitter consistent, but occasionally, personal obligations, sickness, etc. may dictate a visit from a different sitter.
