During the summer of 2014, a local business owner decided that he wanted to try his hand with a new venture.
Tom was looking for something that both he and his daughter could grow into a successful entity.
The thought of a dog boarding kennel came into play, and in September, he officially became the owner of what was then Squankum Boarding Kennel.
With the business came with a 20-plus year history and many repeat customers that were more like family, as well as some staff members who think of "the kennel" as an extension of their homes.
