Serving Claymont, Wilmington and all of New Castle County Delaware with dog day care, grooming, kennel services, and activities. Dogs are part of the family. They're also companions and friends. They give us unconditional love but some days we just don't have the time to give them the attention they need and crave. For those days there is Bark Avenue.
We provide a clean, fun place for your dog to socialize and play with other dogs (and humans) during weekday business hours. Simply drop your pet off and our friendly, dog-loving staff will take it from there. While you take care of work, shopping, errands, or whatever your schedule requires, your pet is playing and getting lots of TLC. We provide our guests with physical and verbal praise for good behavior and like to give them lots of back scratches and belly rubs.
Going to dog daycare anywhere from once a week to 5 times a week will benefit your furry friend whether he/she needs more physical activity, better social skills, or play buddies.

Services
Our dog day care facility is located in North Wilmington, and our 3,200 square foot dog camp features every amenity your dog could dream of.
The building provides ample space for play, games and quiet times.
Safety is our #1 concern and every measure has been taken to assure that your pet is in a risk-free environment.
Although the dogs are given the freedom of space, there are segregation areas for brief "time-outs" or some quiet time away from the group.
We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our facility and strive to keep it odor-free and germ-free.

House-breaking and socializing a puppy is very important.
If a puppy is taught these things early and consistently, he/she will grow into a happy, full-fledged member of your family.
We can help.
Bark Avenue accepts puppies as young as 8 weeks old, provided he/she has successfully completed a worming program.

A consistent diet is important for the health of your dog.
If you choose to bring your pet's regular food, clearly label the baggie or container with your dog's name and any special feeding instructions.
If you choose to have the daycare provide the food, we provide Purina One and Eukanuba dry dog food.
On days you drop off your dog, please feed them breakfast early so they have an hour for food to digest prior to playtime.

Following a successful interview, you can schedule a day of orientation ($25) for your pet so that we can check for signs of aggressive behavior.
After a full day of orientation, we will determine if dog daycare is right for your dog.
The last step is to let us know when your dog is joining us so that we can get everything set up for his/her first daycare visit.
We want to ensure we have met all of your pet's needs.
