My name is Claire Medeiros, the founder of Back to Basics K9 and a certified behavior consultant and dog trainer residing in Norton Massachusetts. My journey in dog training began in 2004. Since then, I have been helping families and their dogs in teaching obedience and resolving behavioral issues. Behavioral intervention & dog training plans that are customized to your individual dog, your handling ability and all taught in your home.

The duration of an in-home consultation is generally one hour.
In this session, your dog's behavior is assessed in his/her natural environment.
We will discuss your goals with training and my observations of his/her behavior.
Information will be provided to you to better understand and support your individual dog as well as immediate changes that can be made to better manage his/her behavioral issues.
Behavioral consultations for dogs suffering from aggression, severe anxiety, medical conditions contributing to behavioral concerns and/or are fearful of strangers.
In this session, your dog's behavior is assessed in his/her natural environment.

I contacted Claire after I rescued my wonderful companion Sneaux.
At the time, I was at a loss and in desperate need of a behavioral expert to help me understand and manage Sneaux's anxiety, that led to a great deal of difficult behaviors.
After my phone consultation with Claire, she immediately emailed me resources so I could start to educate myself.
After our first session, things were already looking up and I had my first sign of hope that we could rehab Sneaux.
