I've been covered in dog hair for as long as I can remember. Growing up with three dogs in small-town Massachusetts instilled a sincere love for dogs at a very young age. I even started a little dog walking service in my hometown when I was 12! After graduating from St. John's University in 2013, I chose to focus my energy on dog-care. While becoming a dog walker began simply to make ends meet, it became a passion and I founded Sticks and Bones.
Every dog walker on the team gets involved with Sticks & Bones based on their love for dogs. We all hold the pups to be the #1 priority, beyond anything else. What does that mean? If you work with a trainer, or are working on any specific behavioral procedures- we will gladly join a training session, or learn what we must, in order to emulate the same training you are giving your dog.

Growing up with a Beagle and two Basset Hounds in small-town Massachusetts instilled a sincere love for dogs from a very young age.
I even had a little dog walking service in the neighborhood I grew up in! Moving to New York in 2009 and graduating from St. John's University in 2013, I chose to focus my energy on dog-care.

Like the dogs themselves, it is not a selfish business, it's an industry planted firmly in helping animals, and helping their owners.

We'll take a nice walk around the neighborhood to stretch your pup's legs and catch up on the news of the day.
Let your pup get out and about to strut their stuff and keep up appearances.
A long walk and plenty of playtime will leave your dog happy as a clam and excited for you to get home to tell you about their day.
Put your dog up at the Ritz!
Or even better - save some money and have one of us stay with your pup in your own home where your pup feels most comfortable.
Or, they can stay with us!

All of our walkers use the most of the allotted time for the actual walking.
However, training reinforcement may require some inside-time as well.
Or, if in the case of inclement weather, we will get your pup's energy out without subjecting them to extreme heat or cold, beyond the time it takes for them to do their business.
It's a clever way of saying we aren't certified trainers.
However, if you are working with a trainer, we will join a session, or speak with them, in order to emulate the important training regiment for your dog.
