Rain is truly an expert in positive dog training. Her specialty is working with anxious and reactive dogs. She has helped us immensely with our 3-year-old reactive Carin Terrier. Her expertise has saved us a lot of time by teaching us how to properly train our dog without making things worse. We have worked remotely with her during the pandemic and feel we have gotten our money's worth many times over from her observation, advice and helpful videos.

She is patient and answers all our questions. Because of her extensive experience, she anticipates problems we are likely to face when working out issues with our dog who is overcoming early-life trauma she suffered before coming to us. Rain helped us understand what our dog is going through and changed how we view her behavior. Every dog deserves kind, mindful training, & every person benefits from the emotional relief of being able to provide it.

I am dedicated to helping you achieve peace of mind and a happy life with your dog while simultaneously working to help you ensure your dog's safety and well-being.
My work and specialty in fearful, feral, and traumatized dogs is partly a result of having run an international dog rescue, which involved intaking and working with many dogs who had been abandoned to survive on their own, sometimes after being purposely harmed so that they couldn't get back to their abandoners' homes.

Engineering modern families of more than two legs each involves not just the furry hardware update, but consistent data backups for loss prevention and expert security to observe and intervene if a hacker tries slipping through.
Of course a puppy is not a machine, although a puppy does come preinstalled with certain programs that help cover initial basic needs.
But puppies season fast as members of human families, where more and more programs get uploaded.
Pet dogs sometimes lack enough fun and exploration in their lives, but this can be easily changed.
One thing we can all do is realize that most dogs don't enjoy walking on leash just for exercise; they are naturally faster than us and their heightened senses notice interesting stimuli that we do not, so walking on leash can be difficult, frustrating, or boring for them.
What dogs can get out of leash walks is exploration of the world and pleasant time with their guardians.
Therefore, it's important to ensure that dog walks are dog-centric walks: encourage sniffing, for example, and focus on strengthening the bond between you.
