Tri-State Canine Obedience
Are you tired of your dog pulling on the leash? Does it frustrate you that your dog barks every time it sees a person or animal and won't stop when you tell them to? Are you still having potty issues? Does your dog show aggression with people or other dogs? Does your dog jump on people when they walk into your house? These are some common problems that people encounter with dog ownership.

Finding solutions to these problems is as easy as choosing a qualified dog trainer. At TRI-STATE CANINE OBEDIENCE we know that finding the right dog trainer for your individual needs can be tough. That's why we have developed a versatile program to provide effective solutions for a wide range of behavioral problems, ranging from basic obedience to aggression.

Our training philosophy is simple and effective: To work with a dogs natural instincts to promote the behavior that is desired and to promote a stronger bond between you and your dog. We do not use forceful or painful methods when training (your dog should never fear you when training).

Mike Dixon has always had a love for all animals, especially dogs.
This love for dogs pushed Mike to switch from a long and distinguished career as a Critical Care Flight Medic to his current position as one Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky's most distinguished and desired Canine Experts.
Mike is truly a dog person, he can relate to dogs on their level due to his understanding of canine ethology.
Once you see Mike work with your dog it is easy to see why early on his customers became lifelong clients.
Group classes are a great way to get your dog versed in the basic commands, give your dog proper canine socialization, and help resolve bad behaviors.
Our group training is designed to give you a strong leadership role with your dog which strengthens the bond between you and provides an overall happier relationship.
We use an easy to understand positive reinforcement style training, which transfers easily from our classroom to your home.
Group classes are open to the whole family, and we encourage everyone to join in the training.
All events are at at 516 Linn St., Cincinnati, Ohio 45203.
Our downtown facilities are great and easily reached from anywhere in the Greater Cincinnati tri-state area.
Vaccination records: In order to streamline the check-in process we are asking that you please email a copy of your vaccination records to us before class starts.
You can also contact your Veterinarian and have them email the records.
If this is not possible, please make sure you bring your vaccination records to the first class.
The Advanced Obedience class is your next step in training after completing an introductory training program (Puppy Kindergarten or Adult Obedience).
This class focuses on working with your dog in a more distracted environment.
In this class your dog will learn cues such as learning to stay at a distance, heel, come when called with distractions and many more.
The class will help you prepare your dog for some real life scenarios by teaching your dog to focus on you in different levels of distraction.
Your dog may be eligible to receive AKC recognition in the Canine Good Citizen program after completing Therapy Dog Training.
Therapy dog training is performed in a group class setting.
We've designed the classes so that you and your dog are ready for all of the various situations you are likely to encounter with owning a therapy dog.
Unlike some other area training facilities that perform the training quicker, we believe that the training should be about more than just getting your dog to pass the therapy dog certification test.
