Wild At Heart Dog Walking & Pet-sitting
We are Wild at Heart and are dedicated to maintaining an ethic of compassion in every aspect of our business. We use positive reinforcement training and constantly work with our clients to provide the best possible care. My name is Greg, and I am the founder of Wild at Heart Dog Walking & Pet-sitting. I grew up in a home surrounded by pets; my family always included several dogs, cats, horses, and mules.

I became passionate about animal welfare when I was a teenager and started volunteering at a local wildlife rescue and have followed that passion ever since. I have extensive experience volunteering in shelters, specifically working with troubled dogs. After relocating to Portland, I wanted to find a way to combine my love of the outdoors and my love of animals.

Dog walking and pet sitting were the perfect combination of the two. I absolutely love spending my days exploring Portland with pups! I am a co-owner of Wild At Heart since the beginning of 2015. I am a full time student at Portland State University and a professional pet care provider!
Services
Your dog(s) will get to explore the neighborhood solo or with one or two other dogs on this 30-minute adventure.
The 30-minute walk provides exercise and mental stimulation keeping your pup happy and healthy.
Training walks include but are not limited to work on leash-reactivity, sit and wait at corners and loose-leash walking.
We will stay in your home with your dog(s) overnight.
Boarding in kennels can be stressful for some dogs.
Overnight boarding is advantageous to most dogs as they can stick to a similar daily routine and stay in their comfort zone.
Amanda is a true professional and incredibly great with animals.
Our dog is 140 pounds, has trust issues with strangers, and is no walk in the park when you are walking in the park!
To top it off, Amanda had to meet our dog for the first time when we were out of town when our dog sitter fell through.
By some miracle, she managed to build the trust it took to get him out on walks that week.
Because of the time she takes with Hendrix and because she has never given up on him (even when he is being his most difficult self) he has become a much better adjusted and behaved dog.
