We are a collective of NYC dog walkers, pet sitters, and a certified dog trainer/pet owner counselor who give a large portion of our profits to small nonprofit projects. Our mission is to give your pet as much love and protection as we would like to give the world. Founded in 2001 our unique NYC dog walker group offers the client the warmth and familiarity of having an independent walker plus the coverage and professionalism of an agency.
The experiences of our NYC dog walkers range from one year to 30 years. We work with big dogs and small dogs, dogs with emotional or physical health problems, and any other NYC dog who needs experienced, professional walking and care. We also regularly care for cats, dogs, birds, ducks, rabbits, turtles, hamsters, horses, and others. We are committed to providing the best care possible for your pet.
We carefully screen all dog walker and cat sitter candidates, including a background check. Although all of our dog walkers and pet sitters come with some experience, they must go through a training period with our veteran dog walkers and trainers before they are approved to meet you and your pet.

My dogwalker, Calla, is the best and my dog loves her.
She always follows my instructions to the T and is extremely responsible and attentive.
My dog is also sensitive and needs some extra TLC and she is always happy with Calla, and always happy to see her.
Calla has also dog-sat for me several times while I travel, and she is the only person who my dog feels comfortable with while I'm gone for (up to 2) weeks at a time.
I have had other friends dog sit for me in the past and my dog chooses to not eat for the first few days, but with Calla she is comfortable and happy and never has that problem.

One of the first issues Dog Walking for Rainforests was concerned about is New York City Government's Destruction of Rainforests for park benches, Brooklyn Bridge, Coney Island Boardwalk, MTA subway ties, Staten Island ferry terminals, Hudson River Park, and The High Line Park.
