Like many people who work in the dog industry, Anneliese has been around animals and has been infatuated with them for all of her life.
Starting in 2006, she went to work at a veterinary clinic in Virginia to get hands on experience in the field she had always thought was her life's calling.
This led her towards her true passion-- training dogs.
She started to realize that the vast majority of dogs she was dealing with on a daily basis were uncomfortable being handled and were not able to cope with common, everyday stressors of our human lives that we share with our dogs.

The science of dog training has come a long way in the last 30 years.
We've learned an incredible amount about how animals in general learn with advancements in the study of animal behavior, learning theory, animal emotion and cognition and more.
Every bit of this information is important to consider when working with animals, specifically dogs because unlike most other animals, we expect dogs to be members of our families and conform to the rituals of today's society, which doesn't come naturally for dogs.
