Services
Prior to starting any service, your pet care professional will meet you in your home and will get to know you and your pet as well as you will get to know them.
We think that meeting in person is vital for a good relationship and therefore we only start services if a Meet-and-Greet was performed.
Let's be honest you would want to know who is coming into your house correct?
We will discuss your pet sitting or dog walking needs and go over any instructions on how to care for your pet.
For your peace of mind all our walkers are background checked, bonded and insured.
Chester County Dog Walkers is proud of our commitment to our customers but hear for yourself from our existing clients why we are different.
My husband and I work very long hours, so I was thrilled to find Nicole to walk my 2 Shih Tzu's Holly & Cole on a daily basis.
I feel confident while at work that Nicole will not only walk my dogs, but play with them, befriend them, and keep me informed as to how they respond, and what kind of day they had.
She has disentangled dog leads, brought extra bags for clean up, left notes, photos of my dogs, and even drove to my house when I locked myself out!
Start by choosing the proper DOG shampoo NOT human shampoo or conditioner.
For dogs with sensitive skin choosing an oatmeal based shampoo might be helpful or a hypoallergenic shampoo for dogs with allergies.
You can shampoo your pet once a month - sometimes more than that can dry out their skin.
Before bathing - be sure to give a good brush out - this will help to remove extra fur and small mats.
Do not bathe your pet if they already have mats - doing so will only make the mats worse.
Wet your pet down thoroughly - avoiding their eyes, ears and face at all times.
Start by choosing a brush appropriate for your pets coat.
Longer hair does well with rake-type brushes or bristle brushes work better for short-haired dogs.
Daily brushing is better for long hair to help prevent mats while once a week brushing would be ok for short haired dogs.
Always brush in the direction of the hair growth and try to work in sections.
Best to start brushing at an early age to get them used to it as they grow.
Be consistent and go slow - make this a good experience for your pet.
When potty training your new puppy remember that as soon as they go outside it means business first then playtime.
You do not want you r new puppy to go outside and play the whole time and as soon as you walk back into the house they are messing on the carpet.
As a general rule of thumb a puppy will need to go out within 15 min of eating food and can only hold their bladder for their age in months plus 1 so if your puppy is 8 weeks - they can only hold their bladder for approx.
3 hours.
You want to form a command word for the puppy and be consistent.
