Mutts on Main, LLC was established in 2015 by owner, Nikki Lombardi and her husband Sean Wallin. Working and being exposed to vast environments, dealing with dogs and owners of various temperaments, breeds and expectations and owning dogs of their own, Nikki & Sean have developed an atmosphere and programs that put your dogs first. We want the dogs to enjoy being dogs.

Most of our training is based on Training Between the Ears (TBTE) techniques and principles.
TBTE was developed by our colleague, Mark McCabe.
TBTE uses primarily reward and relaxation techniques and strategies to help change the emotional state of the dog and help them to moderate their own emotions.
The techniques aim to build relationships with your dog by removing conflict, developing self-motivation through success seeking behaviors, and changing your dog's perception of the world and their surroundings so they are emotionally stable and more relaxed, therefore resilient to external stressors.

Not far from our Montville location, just down the road in Boonton Township, we have two additional properties that allow for large field group play.
Both locations are fully fenced and range from 2-6 acres of natural grass.
Large field play is weather permitting.
All dogs are individuals and therefore their likes and dislikes may vary.
We provide a variety of activities each day and specifically design your dogs day with what they enjoy.

This care taker is responsible for the facility and the dogs outside of normal and fully staffed business hours.
They will monitor cameras overnight to assure the safety and comfort of your dog as well as provide a late night take out for one last bathroom break!
Each dog is different and therefore we have a variety of sleeping quarters available.
We will always offer your dog the largest sleeping environment they can handle.
