Peace of Mind Pet Boarding started out of the desire to offer personalized, quality care for pets in an area where the need was great. We want our reputation to be built on honesty, dedication, cleanliness, and the close relationships we build with the pets in our care. In 2008 we built a new, state of the art boarding facility equipped with air conditioning, heat, and soothing music.
Since we live on the premises your pet will be monitored and cared for as if they were one of our own. The kennel is secure and equipped with fire alarms, security system, and outside motion detecting lights.

We are both lifelong residents of Dorchester County and we purchased our dream home at 6136 Suicide Bridge Road, outside of Secretary in June of 2007.
Our property covers over 7 acres of wooded and open area.
We have many trails through our woods and offer wooded trail excursions for the dogs in our care.
Truth be told, we have as much fun as the dogs.

Vaccinations - There are a number of bacteria and viruses that can be spread to your pet.
Dogs can shed the virus thru the air by sneezing, coughing, barking or even breathing.
Making sure vaccinations are up to date is the best prevention, this is important and is the best way to prevent sickness for your pet and others.
However, even a pet that is fully vaccinated can still contact illness such as parvo, kennel cough, influenza, etc.
We take all precautionary measurements to ensure this doesn't happen.

Upon dropping off your pet for a stay of 5 days or more, a payment of 1/2 the cost of the visit must be paid.
The other half can be paid upon your return.
We understand that things come up, but we must ask for a 48 hour notice in the event that you have to cancel.
If you do not notify us, you will be charged for half of the reserved time.
Feel free to print and fill out before your pet's first boarding appointment.
Please make sure to also have a current copy of their veterinary records to show that s/he is all up to date on their shots.
