Tandem K9 is a full service training facility that provides all aspects of dog training. Our head trainer Dana, is a certified police dog trainer, and behavior specialist. No problem is to big for our staff of battle tested instructors, from basic obedience to detection, we do it all! Veteran owned and operated, we bring over 35 years of dog training to you in a positive, fun, learning environment.

In our opinion the two are vastly different, and unfortunately you get what you pay for.

Dana Brown not only had a very successful job as Marine Corps K9 Handler, she has also gone to combat as a Kennel Master.
In our opinion, the ultimate test of a dog team is the ability to survive in life or death situations by working together.

Training in explosive and narcotic detection, apprehension, tracking, building and article searches.
We require proof of current inoculations including Rabies for all dogs (except young puppies) enrolled in our classes.
You may send this in with your application, or bring it to the first class.
If your puppy has not yet completed his inoculations, you can still train with us.
Please bring proof to the first class following the completion of his inoculations.

Dana is a member and a certified police dog instructor for the national recognized Virginia Police Canine Association.
Dana has spent over 26 years in the K9 Services industry, both foreign and domestic, serving as a Military Police K9 handler in the United States Marine Corps, in the private sector with civilian law enforcement and most recently as a private contractor where she operated as the Director of K9 Operations in Iraq, for the largest International K9 Servicing Company.
In this position she controlled operations of over 250 multinational dual and single purpose explosive detector dog teams working on both government and commercial contracts in Iraq.
