The American Kennel Club (AKC) is offering a new Trick Dog titling category with 4 levels allowing dogs with any amount of experience to participate.
Teaching dog tricks is enjoyable for you, mentally stimulating for your dogs and can take place at any time or place that fits your lifestyle. If your dog already has Canine Good Citizen, you are already halfway to your Novice Trick Dog title! This is great alternative for your timid or dog reactive dogs.
Not every dog gets along with other dogs and won't be able to participate in the AKC CGC test but for owners who still enjoy training and having a close relationship to their dogs have now the opportunity to still earn some AKC titles.
