Jose's innovative methods and understanding of the dogs' mind has made Powerhouse K9 Bootcamp a driving force in the evolution of dog training. A former Animal Control Officer, Jose has a natural and uncanny ability to read a dog's mind and he is able to quickly determine what they need. Jose's passion is to rehabilitate problem dogs. Jose along with his pack have rehabilitated many dogs to include; numerous unwanted "unadoptable" death row shelter dogs exhibiting behavioral issues and giving them a chance at life.
From basic obedience, to dog/human aggression, to teaching dog owners how to build a positive relationship with their dog. Jose will not only help your dog, but help you understand their language. Monique, began working with shelter dogs at the Arizona Animal Welfare League in 2005. Her special interest was working in the kennels with the behaviorally challenged "misunderstood" bully breeds.
After four years of volunteering at the shelter, Monique began volunteering with various rescue groups throughout Maricopa County.

Jose's fascination with animals began as a little boy in Mexico where he was surrounded by dogs, horses, pigeons, chickens, and more.
As an adult, Jose got his start as an animal professional when he joined the Greenlee County Sheriff's Department as an Animal Control Officer.
It quickly became a way of life, and he soon began to volunteer for different rescue organizations and co-founded Pit n' Proud, a non-profit bully breed advocacy and education organization.
