We offer dog boarding in a different way, we like to call it doggie camping! We're not your average dog kennel, in fact, we don't have normal kennels at all. Because we only take a small number of 4-legged "guests", we treat all dogs as if they were our own. They run, jump, play, walk, eat and sleep freely in a large open indoor play area and fenced 1/2 acre.

They get daily walks and runs and we provide personal attention that is just perfect for your pooch. As for our dog "camp", we are located west of Banks, OR on the way to the Oregon coast. Only 35 miles from downtown Portland, in the beautiful foothills of the Coast Range. We work from home so your dog always has a human friend, as well as doggie campers to play with.

Daily walks and play time, minimum of 2 miles and up to 6+ miles, depending on health and energy of the guest. 40+ acres of timber and meadows to roam, bordering the Tillamook State Forest and private timber land. No traffic or cars to worry about!. We have extensive experience with a wide variety of dog breeds (including large breeds, small breeds, and "socially awkward" pup personalities).
Services
When we moved from Iowa to Oregon in 2002, we bought our first house.
It was a basic ranch in the suburbs.
And while we liked it, four years later we realized our love (bordering on obsession) with animals was outgrowing the suburbs.
So we headed for the hills, literally!
We are now nestled on 40 acres about 12 miles west of Banks.
Our acreage is surrounded by hundreds of acres of Tillamook State Forest, private and timber company land.
We have three kids, McKenna (10), Fisher (8) and Mason (6) all of whom LOVE dogs, and our sweet little home in the DEEP woods.
You must be current on vaccinations for Rabies, Distemper and Bordatella (canine cough).
You must be in good health, flea/tick free, friendly to all dogs, and generally love to play.
We highly recommend that you come see where they will be staying and meet the resident dogs at camp.
It helps ease the camper being near mom and/or dad the first time they are at a new place meeting new dogs.
It makes the camping experience that much better for the four legged kids, not to mention easing the minds of mom and dad.
Our pup Chancellor has stayed at Oregon Dog Camping for two different vacations, amounting to a total of 3 and a half weeks.
When I brought him back the second time, he started squealing with excitement because he recognized his home away from home.
Chancellor, who regularly has separation anxiety, is not remotely sad to be left at camp.
And he gets an average of 4 to 6 miles of running a day!
It is entirely a kennel free camp which is perfect for my boy who is extremely active.
10/10 would recommend to anyone.
