The dog trainers at ProFormance K9 near Rochester, New York offer private instruction for basic pet obedience, as well as: AKC obedience, Schutzhund/IPO obedience, tracking, therapy dog training and nose work/scent work.
Once you have discussed with us your specific needs, we will work with you to design a program that is tailored to fit you and your dog.
Although each dog is different, lessons typically are scheduled for one-hour periods.
During that time, we will demonstrate and discuss how to conduct your training sessions, then coach you while you work with your dog.

Much like military and police working dogs, nose work/scent work dogs are trained in specific odor detection.
However, instead of using explosives or narcotics, your dog will learn how to search for the odors birch, anise and clove.
You and your dog will be able to work together to search vehicles, containers, the interior and exterior of buildings and open areas where the odor is buried in the ground.

Our facility features 8 runs with heated floors and a climate control training building.
We have 24 hour on-site care.
At both basic boarding and boarding school, your dog will receive ample exercise on our 40 acres, as well as play time in our secured fenced yard and climate controlled play room.
