Looking for a dynamic change but don't know where to start? Let's meet at your place and see what your faithful friend is up to. We'll spend some time together discussing behaviors, goals, and I'll craft a personalized plan to get you and your dog there together. My passion is taking dog training to the next level, with the objective of creating clear communication that builds beautiful relationships.

I graduated college in just kidding. I am an associate member of IACP and received my dog training certification from National K-9 in 2019. I have also spent 1.5 years precepting with a trainer who had over 20 years of experience in various dog training fields, and I work closely with local veterinarians. Currently, I am expanding my training to include classes with Training Between the Ears.

Their focus is on minimal stress training with relaxation and perception modification. These techniques can be used to help with anxiety and aggression, and many other behaviors as well, guiding your dog to its healthiest possible state of mind.
Services
Once a dog has completed "Just the Basics" they qualify for boarding.
Whether it is lounging around the house, playing in the creeks, or taking hikes- your dog will get a vacation too!
Come sit on the porch of a beautiful old log cabin nestled in the hills of WV and watch your dog learn.
There are a lot of alternatives to the wooden fence that blocks your beautiful mountain view.
Most systems include instructions on how to train your dog to the system, but if that is more than you want to tackle, let me do it for you.
I use a balance training approach.
Balanced means that the dog is encouraged and motivated to learn, enthusiastically praised when he succeeds, and only corrected when it will be the most beneficial communication for the dog.
My goal is to make "behaving" fun and rewarding for your dog, so that is the behavior he naturally chooses.
There is an idea out there that training can be entirely positive.
As a student of psychology, I can tell you that no such world exists.
If I use treats as a reward for good behavior and then I don't give the treat when bad behavior occurs, that is a negative punishment.
Although my services are generally tailored to each client's specific pet needs, there are some questions that often come up again and again.
Read on and find out if there's already an answer for yours.
If there is anything you're still wondering about or unsure of, please don't hesitate to call or send me a message and I'll get back to you shortly.
My goal is ultimately building relationship, not obedience tricks.
I want your dog to learn that he can trust you.
I will teach you that you can communicate with your dog in ways you might not even think possible.
