The time spent with the owner/handler is just as important as the training I give to the dog! Spirit Canine Rescue is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and responsible placement of abandoned, abused, and neglected dogs of all breeds. Our goal is to create a community where healthy animals are not killed in the shelter, and animals are kept safe, healthy and loved in their homes!

All dogs must be screened prior to staying with us as we do not just lock your dog in a cage all day long.
Accepted dogs will be integrated with our family in our home for the duration of their stay.
In addition, your dog will be taken for walks as well as exercised in our fenced in 2 acre yard!
We know that your dog is more than just a pet, they are part of your family.
We treat them the way they should be treated!
We can help with that!
While we do not offer stand alone bathing for your canine companion, we will be more than happy to bath your pup while they stay with us!

This was by and far the most amazing experience my dog Smokey and I have had.
First, this happened to fall the weekend of Hurricane Michael when everyone lost power including Reaba.
It was very last minute as my trip plans changed and I had to leave earlier than expected and could not reach the place originally scheduled for my dog.
I quickly search engines somewhere and Reaba popped up and I called explained my situation and though slightly off her normal stipulations she agreed to help me.
