She has been involved with dogs for over forty years and is the founder of Northern Sky Obedience Academy.
Gaye has perfected her dog training skills through years of personal experience and studying canine evolution, behavior and learning theory.
She is a graduate of the Ohio State Board of Education approved, National K-9 Learning Center's Master Trainer Program.
Ms. Amick developed Northern Michigan's first Train the Trainer Apprentice Program in 2004.
