What traditional dog training fails to incorporate is natural canine behavior, psychology, communication, and lifestyle. To be able to achieve and maintain a well trained, well behaved and balanced dog, owners must first become trained in dog. This is why our training method begins with educating the human before training the dog. All prospective new training clients and/or members must schedule an evaluation before starting.
We provide puppy training, behavior modification, obedience training, service dog training/certification, therapy dog training/certification, and more thorough 1-on-1 training sessions, day training (with pick up and drop off), and boarding & training. Everyone should experience the joys of a well behaved companion dog instead of the stress of a neurotic pet.
Our training philosophy and knowledge of canine behavior & psychology allows us to customize training to you and your dog's individual needs.

Services
We believe dogs are the most misunderstand animal on the planet.
The majority of dog owners-both old and new alike-bring a dog into their home with emotion rather than with a complete understanding of breed history, canine behavior, body language, psychology, and/or anatomy.
Wolves and dogs share 99.9% of the same DNA.
That.1% difference is a result of phenotype: observable traits such as floppy ears, curly tails, wire coats, etc.
Despite superficial differences, the dog's family structure, lifestyle, behavior, and communication does not differ greatly from their wolf counterparts.

The evaluation is a required one-on-one session with you, your dog(s), and our trainer that will introduce you to the basics of canine behavior, canine psychology, and the ideal canine lifestyle.
We'll explain why your dog behaves the way they do and teach you how to master the walk with your dog.
We will also show you how to clearly communicate with your dog using intrinsic language that utilizes body language, touch, and sound (not speech).
It is vital that we teach our new clients and potential members dog body language, behavior, psychology and the differences between obedience and behavior training prior to beginning a training program.

At Dogmata, the term "doggy daycare" is an insult to us.
Unlike the typical dog daycare facility, we focus on the quality, not the quantity, of dogs that we accept into our exclusive, member's only pack.
Our playcare members follow the same rules, boundaries, and limitations as our personal pack, so only positive behaviors are reinforced.
Membership requires Playcare participation a minimum of three days per week so we can instill a consistent routine.
This ensures that our environment remains a balanced, stress-free serenity so our pack members can truly socialize and indulge their canine desires.

Playcare Pack Members have fulltime access to our boarding amenity.
Dogmata pack members live with us when boarding, including weekends and holidays.
Pack Members enjoy their usual playcare routine then relax alongside us in our den each evening.
By bedtime, dogs are happy to retire to individual kennels and snooze soundly in preparation for another day in paradise.
We highly recommend bringing enough food for your dog's stay as a change in diet can lead to gastrointestinal upset.
If the food provided runs out or none is provided, we will serve our house food (Retriever High Protein Dog Food - 27% protein, 15% fat) supplemented with a mixture of egg, chicken, yogurt, brown rice, green beans, carrots, and chicken broth at $5.00 per meal.
