Our kennel was originally started in September of 1983 by the mother/daughter team of Mary Preston and Garnett Persinger.
At that time, we were known as Shoalwater Kennel, using the name Shoalwater as the prefix for the dog breeding we did, and Mary had a boarding kennel in Washington state under the same name.
The pair had raised and bred many dogs during the course of their careers, and they both wanted to provide safe, competent care for precious furry companions while their owners were away on vacation, business trips, or other events.
