KLB Kennel was founded in 2000 by Ken and Linda Brown who had more than 40 years experience caring for and boarding dogs and cats on their property in Penrose.
In 2016, Ken and Linda's daughter Lisa and her husband Andrew came on board to transition into ownership.
Lisa was raised on the property assisting with the kennel since its founding.
In 2019 Lisa and Andrew became second generation owners of the business following Ken and Linda's retirement.
Our boarding kennel features gorgeous views of the mountains and provides over 5 acres for your dog to enjoy!

It is recommended that you keep your dog on his or her normal diet during their stay with us.
If for some reason you forgot to bring dog food we do provide food for your pet.
Your dog will adjust quickly to their routine here at KLB Kennel.
It is best to prepare your dog for their stay with us by getting them into a routine prior to boarding.
Ensure that your dog is eating a routine and healthy diet and are getting adequate rest.
We work hard to make your pet's stay as enjoyable as possible and are confident they will feel right at home!

My dogs love it at KLB and always come home happy and healthy and well rested.
My dog is almost 16 yes old, only has partial vision & partial hearing.
Since he cant play fetch, Buddy was walked on leash twice a day which he loves.
Owners/staff very kind & polite.
They just radiate love for the animals.
