Since I was a little one growing up in South Georgia, I knew my passion.animals. I didn't know how that would transpire quite yet, but I was certain I was here on Earth to care for them. Back then, I was trying to lure every stray on our dirt road in with hot dogs so I could pick the ticks off of them, or give them a bath with dish soap I would sneak from my mama's kitchen.

As a teenager, I helped start an Animal Shelter in our small town and worked there every spare second I had. As an adult, I have enjoyed working as a Vet Tech/Surgery Tech, and in rescues, fostering for local shelters, and pet sitting. I love working with animals, they bring so much to my life! I can't think of a better way to spend my days. I've been an animal lover all my life, evidenced by countless childhood pictures of me snuggling one random cat or another.

With about 10 years in the animal rescue field behind me, I've been lucky to have had a wide range of experiences working with animals of all shapes, sizes, ages, needs and demeanors.
Services
Jenny and Aych came over to meet our pets before we left for a week vacation.
I was a nervous wreck because our elderly dog had bone cancer and required medication and extra care.
I didn't think I could trust anyone to give her the kind of attention I would.
But by the time they left, I felt such relief.
They pet Layla and talked sweetly to her the whole time they were there.
They obviously had a lot of experience with sick pets and a true love for animals in general.
While away, they sent us photos and updates about our pets.
We are a professional in-home pet sitting and dog walking business servicing the Asheville/Weaverville areas and are in need of a dedicated and hard working Independent Contractor to join our team!
Experience with companion animals is a must!
Volunteering and fostering certainly count!
By nature, this job entails interacting with companion animals who do not fare well in a traditional boarding environment.
So an understanding of animal behavior and low stress handling is important.
Having experience administering medications is a plus.
These visits are structured to include potty time, water refresh, medication administration (if needed), and stimulation.
They involve a LOT of love and companionship!
We recommend a mix and match of the two visits above to ensure a good maintenance of your pup's skills and mental health.
Knowing you have a super busy work week scheduled and won't have as much time for Scruffy?
Schedule in an Enrichment Focused Visit or two!
If you have ever consulted with a Dog Trainer/Behaviorist, you know that skills that aren't repeatedly used, are lost.
We may even snap some pics of our adventures or cuddle puddles to send to you!
Our main priorities while with your pet are enrichment, TLC, exercise, and medication administration, if needed.
What that means to us is minimal phone use and our undivided attention on your pets!
Work long hours and can't get home midday?
Most companions find that increasing their dogs' active stimulation throughout the day promotes a more calm disposition when they return home from work.
A tired pup is a happy pup!
Every new client receives a free 30 minute consultation so we can get to know your pet's specific needs as well as your own.
We are happy to accommodate longer consultations if you feel it is needed.
These must be pre-arranged as consultations require two team members to be present and additional scheduling must be arranged.
2 Key copies required - Please ensure these keys work properly before the consult Have a key pad?
Only one key required in the case of battery failure/power outage.
Daily Walks: While cancellations are best avoided when possible, we understand sickness and other emergencies happen.
