Rio Grande Obedience Dog Club (RGODC) is El Paso's only AKC Recognized Dog Obedience Club. We promote Dog Training in El Paso by offering a variety of classes to dog owners, at all levels. Whether you want to train your puppy in puppy school, teach your dog good manners, or compete in AKC trials, RGODC has the resources you need. Membership is available, by application, to interested parties who meet membership requirements.
Classes are offered at the Clubhouse, 175 Barker Road. AKC trials are conducted by the Club on a regular basis.

Rio Grande Obedience Dog Club (RGODC) was founded by Mrs. W.H. Bowen in 1949.
Our 1st trial was held 11/11/51 at the El Paso County Coliseum.
The Bowen founder's trophy, awarded to the highest scoring local dog in the regular classes at club obedience trials, was named for Mrs. W.H. Bowen.
RGODC has been involved in community service; their CDX dogs used to collect money for the March of Dimes at the El Paso International Airport.
In 1956 the club donated the cost of a Guide Dog to the Guide Dog for the Blind, Inc.
