From our first phone call, they have gone above and beyond. We brought our rescue dog here for her first initial visit and they were patient, thorough and very communicative. I spoke with someone in the parking lot who has been bringing her animals here for 27 years! I felt so comfortable, safe and relaxed bringing my puppy to Companion Pet Care for his neuter and other services.
They were extremely caring and made me feel like my dog was in extremely good hands! They have also been very responsive and helpful throughout the healing process! Amazing staff and genuine sincerity of love. I can tell the entire crew over loves my dog when we come in! Not to mention It's always a breeze to check in and out. I've never had to wait longer than 5-10 minutes.
I would 100% recommend this awesome veterinary office. Dr. B, and his associates will treat your dog as family. And this is coming from someone who drives from north park to Encinitas for her dogs check up here! Companion Pet Care is proud to serve North County San Diego and surrounding areas.

Teahupoo, (pronounced "cho- poo") is a 4 year old male Coton De Tulear who stoically underwent ACL repair surgery (called CCL in veterinary medicine- cranial cruciate ligament) on his right knee at Companion Pet Care.
He was a champion for the procedure and is an example that, despite a major injury, it is possible to always be in a bright, happy, tail wagging spirit.
To aid in his recovery we also injected platelet rich plasma (PRP) into the surgical knee, as well as his other knee.
Statistics show that after one CCL rupture, there is a 50% chance of the other rupturing within one year.

Studies show that between 60% and 80% of all pets over the age of three have periodontal disease and need immediate dental care.
The overall health of your pet can be seriously affected by neglected oral hygiene.
The bacteria found in the mouth, which causes bad breath, can result in seriously diseased teeth and gums.
From the mouth, the same bacteria can travel to and infect the intestines (causing periodic diarrhea), liver, kidneys, and heart, which can result in premature deterioration of these vital organs.
