The Happy Dog Inn was designed specifically for this use. The home is attached to the 1600 SF dog room which contains the 14 indoor/outdoor suites. Each suite is 5' x 8' indoor which leads to the 5' x 16' individual covered patio accessed through a dog door. All suites are tiled and have a window and separate ventilation. The patios are available for use all day and closed at night.
A high pressure wash system is built in to make cleaning and sanitizing easy. The dog room has a couch, chairs, kitchen and TV's to duplicate the home environment and reduce stress levels. Playgroups are divided according to personality not size. There are tough smaller dogs who can run with the big dogs and meeker large dogs who are better off with the little ones.
We also cater dogs with special needs, whether that is physical disabilities or behavioral issues. Everything we do is in the best interest of the dogs in conjunction with their natural behavior and schedule. Our drop off schedule is not based on the owners needs but on what is best for the dog.

Owner and Operator of Happy Dog Inn brings more than 35 years experience with dogs.
He began his professional career as a USAF Police Dog Handler in 1976.
In 1982 he founded Canine Behavior Consultants in Barrington, IL to assist people with Dog Behavior problems.
Part of his training included a pack behavior study and wolf study.
Tom spent a week at The San Francisco SPCA to observe their Animal Behavior program.
In 1992 Tom and Canine Behavior Consultants moved to Scottsdale.
Tom is a court approved expert on Dog Behavior in Scottsdale, Phoenix and the Maricopa County court systems.

We have different summer and winter schedules based on weather conditions for the safety of our guests.
We also have shoulder seasons as we shift between the two.
As you will notice we are quite busy in the am during drop off time, which is why we really appreciate your 10 minute call.
It is often not possible to drop everything for a surprise arrival, when we know you are in a hurry.
There is not an afternoon drop off time.
Departures may leave anywhere from 7-10 am and 4-5:30 pm, again your 10 min notice is appreciated.

Our fees are $70 per night for the first dog in a suite and $40 for each additional guest from the same home in the same suite, per night.
Afternoon pickups are charged half of the full day rate.
There are no additional charges for playgroups, TV's, seniors, special needs, adding food extra's, medication or the indoor/outdoor suites.
