At a boarding kennel, they will be exposed to strong disinfectants and they will be surrounded by people and other pets they are not used to.
At a boarding kennel, they are fed and walked when it is their turn, not necessarily meaning when they need to.
At most of these places it takes 14 to 16 hours overnight for them to be able to relieve themselves; some of them will be able to "hold it" but many others will not and may spend hours sitting on their urine and/or feces until it is their turn to "get some attention".
