Pawisitive Play was founded in 2013 by Christina Loveland-Dupuis.
Christina's love for animals started when she was young.
As a child she grew up with dogs, cats, cockatiels, rabbits, hamsters, fish, and even an iguana!
Her love for animals grew and she started rescuing animals at an early age.
When she moved to Maine her first dog was a Rottweiler named Benson.
When Benson was a pup, Christina tried several trainers and was never comfortable with the advice she was given.
She thought there had to be a better way with out the use of punishment and force.

Does your pup need exercise and a potty break in the middle of the day while you are at work?
We offer daily walks customized for each pups needs.
Walks/visits are typically 25-30 minutes.
We also offer longer walks for dogs who need a little more time playing and walking.
We welcome you to email us and we will put together a pet care plan for you at no cost.

Sophie is a 7 year old boxer mix we adopted from New Life Boxer Rescue.
We also fostered Sophie for a long time.
Sophie was found as a stray in NJ with her littermate.
Because of her challenging beginning at life she had a difficult time adjusting to new social situations.
Her social awkwardness made it difficult for her to approach new dogs with out reacting to them.
With slow successful introductions and training Sophie has learned to trust other dogs again.
She lives happily with her sister and brother and LOVES to run and play.
We also fostered Sophie for a long time.

During inclement weather walks may be shortened depending on how comfortable the dog is.
In the event walks are shortened we will spend time at home playing indoor games that may involve practicing new tricks or interacting with toys.
Mid day dog walks may include walking with other dog friendly dogs-unless other arrangements have been made in advanced based on your dogs specific behavioral needs.
Dog walks are a great way to provide an outlet for your dogs energy, it fulfills the natural roaming and exploring instincts which provides necessary mental stimulation, encourages good bathroom habits by providing them with a mid day outdoor break.

Your dog will have the opportunity to explore some of the nice hiking trails Maine has to offer.
For those who love swimming in the Summer time where available some of the trails have excellent swimming spots.
Our group walks consist of 3-5 dogs who are dog social/savvy.
We pick your pup up at your home and drive to a local hiking trail with his/her buddies.
We respect all local ordinances so walks are on leash in most areas.
