Prior to moving to Seattle in 2008, I was a high school teacher in Crystal River, Florida.
After moving to Seattle, I spent the next several years as a music teacher for kids aged 8 to 18.
Although much of my experience is in teaching humans, I seem to have a natural knack for helping dogs understand our body language, vocal feedback, and cues.
I never expected to become a dog trainer, but when I started walking dogs part time, I realized my natural talent for helping dogs succeed in the human world.

I believe we all learn best through warm guidance instead of harsh corrections, and I will never use "aversives" in my training (pinch collars, shock collars, etc.).
