I'm Jackie Monell, owner and operator of Malibu Pet Care.
I've always had an affinity for animals, and I was surrounded by reptiles, cats, dogs and horses through much of my early life.
I attended two years of Veterinary College, and later became a veterinary assistant.
But eventually I realized that my calling had more to do with keeping critters happy and secure, rather than focusing on the medical side of their care.
I recognized that there was a need for a pet-sitting business on the coast that would be staffed by mature, competent animal lover like me -professional pet geeks.
