All my dogs were adopted with a shelter or a rescue. My first dog was half Wolf & Siberian Husky, 2nd was a Terrier mix and then a cat named Tigger. So helping with rescue has always been something I support. I have fostered many dogs that needed specialized training and rehabilitating. The best part is, with my help and rehabilitation, they found amazing new homes!
I also volunteered with the Orlando SPCA. I currently have another rescue she's Lyla Bear, the "Professional Treat Eater" below. I have experience with special needs animals (my dog Lola is deaf) and I am Pet CPR/First Aid certified. You know when you come in the door and your pet is so excited to see you? I get to experience that several times a day with the dogs I walk and that is my favorite part of being a dog walker!
When I'm not walking dogs or cuddling cats I love going to the beach with my family, paddle-boarding on Lake Ivanhoe and at Wekiva Springs, running and hiking. I taught high school history for five years and then took some time off to stay home with my daughter.
