Lynda Mortensen, the owner of Bay Area Pet Pals, has been a small business owner for over 26 years. Her love of animals has remained with her throughout her childhood and prompted her to learn various pet care techniques and how to administer pet first aid. Lynda has opened her heart to adopt many pets over the years and she loves helping other pet owners care for their own pets.
She trains each Pet Pal employee to follow specific guidelines. You will never have to worry about re-schedules due to sickness or vacations - there is always an equally trained Pet Pal available to ensure that every appointment and pet visit is covered. Bay Area Pet Pals is a licensed, bonded, and insured company. Each and every pet is screened to see if there are any special needs or issues that need to be addressed.
We keep detailed records to ensure that each pet gets the best care possible. Information such as the animal's medical condition, medications, habits, fears, likes, dislikes, and their overall routine is very important.

While growing up in Carmel Valley, Kate was always surrounded by a menagerie of pets - cats, dogs, horses, cows, chickens and rabbits - and all of them were considered family members.
Taking part in the care of the family pets taught Kate the joy and responsibilities of being a pet owner at an early age.
It was her lifelong love of animals that led her to become a member of the Bay Area Pet Pals team in early 2014.
As a practitioner and teacher of Eastern Healing Arts, Kate knows the importance of maintaining a positive atmosphere and her intention is to provide a calm and positive experience for all of your pets.

Bay Area Pet Pals welcomed Sherri to the team in June of 2015.
Sherri grew up in Benicia California and she has lived in San Mateo for over 25 years.
Having a big love of the outdoors, Sherri really enjoys the hiking and biking trails all along the bay front.
Animals big and small are all appreciated by Sherri.
In her lifetime she has loved and cared for dogs, cats, chameleons, frogs, fish, birds - and even a rabbit and a horse.
Some day she plans to make room in her life for a couple of cute pygmy goats, a few chickens, and a crafty rooster.
