Services
Dr. Koppel has had a varied career, but always comes back to her first love, caring for animals.
She studied biology and psychology at Duke University, and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
She has studied wildlife and livestock in Kenya and Zimbabwe, worked as a Laboratory Animal Technician, and after settling in Oregon, began working at small animal clinics in Yamhill County.
In 2008, with a group of veterinary and technician colleagues, she co-founded a non-profit, Portland Animal Welfare Team, providing free veterinary care for the pets of people in extreme poverty, eventually leading the organization as Executive Director for 5 years.
Thank you so much for explaining everything and being so compassionate.
I did not feel rushed to say my final goodbye and I know that you will continue to care for her with dignity.
Thank you so much.
I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Wendy and her assistant Katy.
I recently had my first cat get very ill and need emergency care.
I had taken her into Petco about 6 months earlier to get her annual shots and the vet said she wouldn't give them to her because she was too old and looked to sick and she may not survive them.

Can you imagine what your teeth would look like if you never brushed them?
It's no different for cats and dogs, though many pet owners don't pay very much attention to their pets' dental health.
Bad breath and dirty teeth are unappealing, but many pet owners aren't aware that these may be indicators of gum disease that can spread to the kidney, heart, and liver.
The gums are a boundary to the bloodstream, so unless you are regularly providing dental care for your pet, you are neglecting an important factor in their overall health and putting them at a higher risk for serious illness.
We are proud to have state of the art surgical capabilities.
Our surgical team is highly trained and experienced, and are able to provide the highest standard of medical care for your pet.
Our surgical suite is equipped with cutting edge technology, and we provide a broad range of surgical procedures.
