Private, in-home dog training designed to solve and prevent unwanted dog and puppy behavior. Offering sessions with and without owners present our unique training options are designed to quickly alleviate problems while creating long-term results.

Rachel sees private clients throughout Manhattan's West Side, (West Harlem, Manhattanville, Morningside Heights, Upper West Side, Lincoln Square, Hell's Kitchen, Midtown West, and Chelsea), and areas of Upper Manhattan, Lower Manhattan, the East Side, and Brooklyn upon availability.We meet for lessons in your home, in the park, and outside on the street.

Where ever we need to practice is where we will work. Rachel is our fairy godmother. My husband and I are so much closer to our dog thanks to her. She has helped us understand what our dog, Sasha, is feeling by looking at Sasha's body language and actions. She is one of the most responsible, trustworthy, patient, understanding and kind people we have ever met.Most importantly, Rachel loves our dog, and our dog LOVES Rachel.

Not only is Rachel Lane a vet-recommended dog trainer, she also holds numerous professional dog training certifications including Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA), Certificate in Applied Animal Behavior through the University of Washington, a Certified Trick Dog Instructor, and is an evaluator for the AKC Canine Good Citizen program.
He was only days away from euthanasia and was not allowed to leave the shelter without an experienced handler taking him in.
He failed tests at the shelter with dogs, people and kids and was obviously maltreated in his former home.
With lots of hard work he has turned into an amazing dog.
He is very laid back and has a very happy go lucky attitude.
He became a Trick Dog Champion in July of 2013, starred in a short film entitled "Introducing Parker Dowd, " and most recently played Sandy in Riverdale Professional Childrens Theatre's production of Annie.

Whatever the problem, Leash and Learn employs positive reinforcement training techniques to develop a customized training plan and to help you address the behavior.
Follow up lessons are available in packages of 4 or 8. Rachel will tell you which option fits you best.
At times, Kids and Dogs can be a tricky combo.
As one of only three certified Family Paws Parent Educators in Manhattan, Rachel specializes in helping expectant families, and families with kids of all ages, create a safe and stress-free home.
Whether you are expecting a new child, need help troubleshooting the relationship between your dog and your kids, or are bringing a new dog into your home with kids, Leash and Learn can help your family proactively adjust to the changes in your household.
