Home to over 100,000 canines, the city by the bay offers unparalleled parks, trails, beaches, cafes, and boutiques that welcome our four-legged friends. But taking full advantage of the city's offerings can be tough for many dog owners. Jobs, long commutes, and endless errands demand time and attention. Sometimes dogs don't get the exercise they need, and owners may come home to accidents, anxiety, and hyperactive energy.

The Art of Dog: Small Dogs, Big Adventures provides your little companion with more than just the typical walk or daycare experience. We offer daily adventures, San Francisco style! As long-time small dog owners, we understand the needs of little canines, and the concerns of their owners, too. We work exclusively with dogs under 25 lbs., matching them with other small friends according to personality and play style, and applying the highest safety standards, including small groups and constant supervision.

The result? Your smallest family member comes home relaxed, spent, and happy.
Services
Cynthia Evans and Michelle Sanchez, founders of The Art of Dog, are professional dog walkers, certified in canine behavior, pack management, safety and fight protocols, as well as pet CPR and first aid.
They are dedicated to using the most effective and humane training methods in their work, and have committed themselves to continuing education so that they can continue to provide their clients with their signature dog adventures.
Our name was inspired by Michelle's previous work in the culinary industry, and the artistry that fellow chefs brought to their meals, their books, and their restaurants.
Your dog plays with 5 friends her own size, chosen to match her energy level and personality.

Safety and fun!
We walk our playgroups in beautiful SF locations, choosing low-trafficked routes to keep small dogs extra safe.
We are dog*tec certified dog walkers, canine 1st aid certified, licensed/ bonded/ insured, and meet or exceed GGNRA and SF regulations.
We enjoy keeping in close contact with our clients through our Facebook page and regular walk reports for your peace of mind.
Small dog owners know first-hand the risks of taking their little companions to crowded, fenced-in dog parks.
Daycare can be stressful for dogs, and no wonder.
Too often daycare settings are crowded, lack outdoor space, force social interaction between dogs who wouldn't have chosen to be friends, and exhaust dogs with constant but unstructured activity.
Small dog daycare is perfect for shy dogs who need a safe space to build confidence, young dogs with endless energy, seniors who could use supervision and cuddles while they snooze and relax, smalls with separation anxiety who need all-day company, and littles whose parents work long hours.
